platypush.backend.bluetooth.scanner does not see my phone unless it is discoverable. bluetooth.discover_devices() returns an empty list. I whipped up a quick script using bluetooth.lookup_name('XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX') that works. Phone battery life seems not too badly affected.
